BioLife™ Advantage
Complete Flush Medium
- Recommended for bovine and equine embryo flushing.
- A complete, ready-to-use, sterile embryo collection medium that does not require the addition of serum or antibiotics prior to use.
- No refrigeration required: simply suspend the bag and start flushing.
The addition of temperature stable polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) to Agtech's popular BioLife™ Rinse/Flush Medium provides the necessary surfactant properties attributed to serum and BSA while eliminating the concern for serum traceability and the associated health status of the serum donor. BioLife™ ADVANTAGE includes kanamycin and gentamicin as standard antibiotics.
BioLife™ ADVANTAGE medium is sterile filled in the USA into state of the art 1000ml EVA bags. EVA film is technologically superior to rigid plastic bottles for maintaining critical pH and osmolality of embryo collection medium.
Agtech's EVA bag is vapor and gas tight and certified non-toxic. Bag seams are radio-frequency welded for superior seam strength, an important requirement for transcontinental shipping and field use and when subjected to freezing temperatures.

BioLife™ Rinse/Collection Medium
- Recommended for embryo rinsing and recovery.
- Modified Dulbecco's phosphate buffered saline (M-PBS) contains no serum antibiotics or indicators thereby allowing the user to select all additives for a collection medium. The antibiotic and serum of your choice can be easily added with a cell-culture grade syringe.
- This is crystal clear sterile medium produced to Agtech's exacting standards. The EVA flexible delivery system bag is a state of the art patented medical device. No venting is required!
Compatible with standard spike sets and extremely resistant to breakage. This unique bag material has a PBS shelf life stability rating of 1.5+ years. Zero leaching of extractables, zero pH shift, superior cell growth characteristics.
- The BioLife™ embryo collection medium bag hangs easily in the barn or clinic for gravity feed, or fits in your coverall pocket for pipette withdrawal during syringe flushing.

- Crystal clear and sterile media, packaged in convenient vaccine-stoppered 60ml bags or 20ml break-resistant bottles.
- The medium does not need to be used all at once. Unused portions may be refrigerated for later use.
- A field tested universally accepted short-term holding and transfer medium formulated to optimize embryo visibility. Use this solution for holding embryos between collection and transfer, for straw rinsing and as an intrauterine transfer medium.
